Rigging Up Netscape/Mozilla
Communicator version 4 comes with filtering.
Earlier versions will require you
to do the filtering before Netscape sees the mail,
for example as a service of your ISP
or in your .forward
if you're on a conventional UNIX system.
- Make a new folder called "ProbablySpam".
- Go to Edit/Mail-Filters and choose "New Filter".
- Contruct a filter called "nospam" with a rule saying
The [to or CC] of the message [doesn't contain] address
for each address.
Use the [More] button to get a new rule line for another address.
The action for the rule should be
Then [Move to folder] [Spam]
Tick the "Filter is On/Off" radio button.
This image
shows the rule set up for the four addresses
in the example.
