Fulton, Jr. I hope you will forgive me for this rather longish follow-up. I would like to second Bruce's endorsement and add my own up- thumb. This book was the main reason I, at the age of 13, sent off $100 for a Whizzer motor which I mounted on my bicycle. Since then there's been no turning back, and it's been motorcycles and bicycles all the way. Here's a little bit more info. about Robert Fulton and his book for those who might be interested: The book is indeed out of print and has been for a long time. Mr. Fulton recently tried to get Harcourt Brace to republish it but they are not interested. The bike he rode around the world was 650cc, not 350cc. Bruce referred to the book as a novel. I guess that was just a slip of the fingers. Mr. Fulton shot a lot of movie film of his trip and the book is full of pictures taken from that film. He has also recently produced a ninety-minute video tape (primarily for his grandchildren) concerning his life; which has been very unusual and interesting. The first thirty minutes of the video is film and narration of his ride around the world. You can purchase this video from him for $25 by writing to: Robert E. Fulton, Jr. Flying Ridge Newtown, Connecticut 06470 Bruce mentioned that he had found a copy of the book at the Vancouver B.C. public library. I did a little internet snooping and have found another copy. It is at the Suzzallo/Allen Library at the University of Washington in Seattle, in the Suzzallo general stacks. The call no. is 915 F959o. I also have a copy of the book and the video right here in my hot little hands. If you pass this way you are welcome to stop and watch the video. You can read the book too, but I'll be the one who turns the pages. Again, pardon the long post. I figured I might as well jump in and get wet all over. This is a great list. Cheers.
