Alex, I've done this for you. However, - SHOUTING generally only pisses people off - sending to the list doesn't guarrentee anyone will help you; the members can't help and the list admin doesn't necessarily read the list anyway - sending to the list just spams the members instead of contacting the list admin To help you with future lists, know this: A list you post to as list@host generally has two other addresses associated with it: list-request@host An automatic service which understands commands like "subscribe" and "unsubscribe". (How did you join this list anyway? The usual method is via this address.) owner-list@host A person who handles special needs. Since it's a person, be verbose and polite. For mcmod, those addresses would have been: mcmod-request@research.canon.com.au and owner-mcmod@research.canon.com.au Try the -request method first, which saves bothering a person at all. Then fall back on asking the admin if that fails repeatedly. If you fail to get response from these addresses, your next fallback is: postmaster@host (i.e. postmaster@research.canon.com.au), which is a required address at _every_ internet site, and _required_ to reach a person. Finally, if all these fail repeatedly then, and only then, post to the list. And then, start a new thread with a sensible subject line like: please help me get off the list or something or that order. (Try to avoid words like "subscribe" and "help"; many lists will quietly shunt such messages to the list software, which presumably by this stage you've given up on).
